Review of GSM handset Voxtel BD50
“The BD50 reminds more of a very portable PDA, rather than an ordinary handset, so that only pick/hang up keys and the speakerphone, located above the display, let out the fact it’s a cell phone. Measuring only 93.5×48.7×16.8 mm in size and weighting 89 grams, the handset easily slips in both trousers’ and shirt’s pocket. Yet the abovementioned dimensions are somewhat common for this kind of devices, for example Fly X7 measures 88х51х15 mm and weights 76 grams; Haier M230 – 89x55x14.4 mm and 93 grams. Therefore it would be a mistake to imply that the model by Voxtel stands out against the background of other competing phones. On the one hand, the device fits in palm nicely, though after prolonged conversations, you might feel discomfort due to the handset being a bit too wide. But I guess it’s all about getting used to it, as once you’ve played with the phone around for a while, the problem disappears by itself.” Read this nice review here:
Acer d150 Portable Navigator Review
“As with other portable in-car sat-nav, the d150 is designed to work out of the box, However, it’s certainly not as slick looking as its competitors. The housing is large, bulky and a frankly a bit ugly. The 3.5in, 320 x 240 resolution screen is surrounded by a seemingly oversized bezel, and the buttons on the fascia have a loose feel to them. In particular, the central joystick generally doesn’t sit straight most of the time, which gives the whole thing a rather cheap feel to it.However, the buttons do mean you have direct access to volume controls, whereas on the TomTom you have to touch the screen first. The joystick can be used to move through menus and scroll around the map, and the Plus and Minus buttons are used for zooming in and out. On the right, one of the buttons brings up the map options, while the other takes you to a separate main menu for the device.” Check out this review at trustedreviews.com
MicroQuad Review for Palm OS
“The difficulty levels are, in ascending order of difficulty; Baby Cup, Junior Cup, Pro Cup, Master Cup and Expert Cup. In a rather frustrating touch, the Baby Cup must be completed to advance to the Junior Cup. I was really hoping to skip ahead to Expert level and see HOW much harder the game becomes. Baby Cup is easily completed but the difficulty is cranked up a good bit in the Junior Cup. Each level include 4 very detailed and varied tracks.” Read the review of this great game here:

Orange SPV M3000 review at infosyncworld
” Capable of sustaining Windows Mobile 5.0 for up to two days with average use, the SPV M3000 plays to the strengths and weaknesses of this operating system which include its broad variety of Microsoft branded applications, best-in-class desktop synchronization and good groupware support for Exchange. Document management, meanwhile, is decent but by no means extensive with Microsoft’s own applications handling the viewing and editing of Word, Excel and PowerPoint files.” Read this review here:
Canalys: Palm is “first” at PDA sales!
“Palm posted slight growth overall, but slipped to third in the worldwide rankings. Canalys estimates that Treo smart phone shipments were up 44% on the same quarter one year ago, but the Treo is yet to gain traction outside the US – a situation Palm will hope to correct with new models expected later this year. Palm’s growing smart phone sales were offset by steep declines in those of handhelds. Globally the handheld segment was down 25%, with the top four players in this field (Palm, HP, Dell and Acer) all seeing year-on-year falls, and the only leading handheld vendor to post growth being fifth-placed Mio Technology, up 7%.” Very interesting tables with the sales of all companies. U510 claims to be the world's thinnest flash drive
“I’ve written countless times about a new flash drive claiming to be the world’s smallest, but here’s one that’s a bit different – it’s claim is that it’s the world’s thinnest. PQI has unveiled their new U510 and it’s about the size of a credit card. Just 3 mm thick, which, when combined with its other dimensions of 85 x 54 mm, means that you have a tiny little drive that you could slide right into your pocket or wallet and hardly even notice. Even better, this little card is packed with 16GB of data storage, and a retractable USB 2.0 jack. There’s no word yet on the price or the availability, though the best guess has to be that it will be pricy given the specs” via mobilemag.com
