” RIM’s venture into the tablet world, the BlackBerry PlayBook, is now available to purchase at stores throughout the U.S. and Canada. At launch, the PlayBook is available in three capacities: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. Sporting a 7-inch screen and a dual-core, 1GHz processor, the PlayBook runs RIM’s new BlackBerry Tablet OS based on QNX. RIM touts the browser as having all of the capabilities of a desktop browser, including full Adobe Flash Player support. The PlayBook also has a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 3 megapixel camera on the front. Both cameras can record high-definition video at 1080p resolution. The PlayBook is available at a host of retailers across the U.S. and Canada. Best Buy, Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, and Sears all make the short-list. Customers can purchase the PlayBook in three different storage capacities: the 16GB costs $499, the 32GB $599, and the 64GB $699. All three versions are Wi-Fi-only; 3G and 4G-enabled editions are said to be coming later this year.” via mobileburn.com
